Job summary

Pursuit Attractions and Hospitality, Inc. in Talkeetna is seeking a Cook I to prepare menu items for dining room service, following standardized recipes and presentations.

You will take direction from the Chef, deliver excellent guest and team service, and ensure dietary needs are met while maintaining food safety and timely production.

This role offers a wage of $19 per hour and opportunities to work in a dynamic hospitality environment across Alaska.

Qualifications

• Valid Alaska Food Handler’s Certification.
• ServSafe Managers certificate preferred.
• Knowledge of proper food handling and preparations standards.
• Current CPR.
• First Aid.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Culinary School graduate or previous cook experience in food service, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Take directions from Chef.
• Provide excellent service to guests and team members.
• Meet guests’ dietary restrictions and special needs.
• Estimate food consumption and requisition food and kitchen supplies.
• Ensure efficient and timely food production and safety.
• Participate in provisioning the island, loading/unloading supplies, inventories, and proper storage.
