Job summary

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar in Tennessee is seeking a Line Cook to join our Kitchen Team. You will be responsible for preparation, plating, and adherence to recipes and standards. The role involves working on your assigned station and collaborating with the team to deliver high-quality dishes.

You will learn and perform all kitchen department roles as needed, with emphasis on speed, accuracy, and presentation, while maintaining safety and cleanliness throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food prep tools.
• Mobility required during the entire shift; able to transport cases up to 50 pounds.
• Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid dangers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to Applebee’s recipes and specifications.
• Complete all assigned prep work and set up workstation.
• Maintain sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift.
• Assist with daily/weekly cleaning projects as needed.
