Job summary

Thrive Restaurant Group in Fort Dodge, IA is seeking a Line Cook (Kitchen Team Member) to join the Applebee’s team. You’ll be responsible for your prep work and cook’s station, maintaining high standards for presentation, quality, and cook times.

You’ll learn to prepare all menu items according to recipes and specifications, and you will be cross-trained in all kitchen department roles. You need a positive attitude, good communication, mobility, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to Applebee’s recipes and specifications.
• Complete all assigned prep work.
• Set up workstation according to station diagram.
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects.
