Job summary

Thrive Restaurant Group in Rapid City, SD is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join Applebee’s Legacy team. You’ll handle prep work, cook’s station, and uphold our presentation, quality, and timing standards.

You’ll learn recipes and specifications, cross-train across kitchen roles, and contribute to a fun, family-oriented work environment while delivering great-tasting food to our guests.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Able to use knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Ability to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to Applebee’s recipes, plate presentations and specifications.
• Complete all assigned prep work.
• Set up workstation according to station diagram.
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift.
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects.
