Job summary

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar is seeking a Line Cook to join our kitchen team in a fast-paced, family atmosphere. You will handle prep work, cook station duties, and ensure high standards of presentation, quality, and timing as part of the Kitchen Team with cross-training in all kitchen roles.

You will learn to follow Applebee’s recipes, maintain cleanliness, and work collaboratively to deliver great-tasting meals to guests while upholding safety standards throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to Applebee’s recipes, plate presentations and specifications.
• Complete all assigned prep work.
• Set up workstation according to station diagram.
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift.
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects.
