Job summary

Thrive Restaurant Group in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a Line Cook (Kitchen Team Member) to join our family-oriented team at Applebee’s Legacy location. You will work on your assigned prep and cook’s station, upholding our standards for quality, presentation and speed.

You’ll learn recipes and specifications, cross-train across kitchen roles, and contribute to a clean, sanitary work environment while delivering a great guest experience in a fun, collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Mobility and ability to navigate the restaurant floor.
• Capability to respond in emergency situations to ensure safety.
• Ability to operate knives, slicing equipment and other food prep tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to Applebee’s recipes, plate presentations, and specifications.
• Complete all assigned prep work.
• Set up workstation according to station diagram.
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects.
