Prep Cook / Line Cook Job Description

Wage: $19 - $20 / hour

Shift: Full time. 40 hours weekly.

Responsibilities

• Work an individual station as a part of a team whose goal is to prepare and cook food for the Restaurant.
• Assure that the quality and quality of the food is up to the set standards.
• Personal workspace cleanliness and organization are a must to work this position at this level.
• Working with co-workers and encouraging them to do the same.
• Stay busy at all times, help others and/or ask for additional tasks.
• Realize the whole operation when completing individual tasks.
• Exemplify Thanksgiving Point's Mission, Values and Policies.
• Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.
  
  

Requirements

• Kitchen experience is essential.
• Previous line cook experience is a plus but not a must.
• Good knife skills.
• Understanding of a variety of cooking techniques such as steak temperatures and cooking times.
• A willing and helpful attitude.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Willing to continue education of food while on the job.
• Pass a background check.
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check to drive for work.
• Be at least 16 years old.
