Job summary

Hotel team members at Crescent Hotels & Resorts seek a detail-oriented Line Cook to join the Crescent team. You will prepare food items to meet production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary kitchen environment.

This role emphasizes consistent quality, adherence to recipes, and efficient station management. Crescent offers competitive compensation, benefits, and growth opportunities within North America.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook experience is highly desired.
• ServeSafe and/or Food Handler certification is highly desired.
• Culinary Diploma (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.
• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs.
• Date all food containers and rotate as per Crescent standards, keeping perishables at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line setup; note any shortages.
• Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas, cover/date perishables.
• Assist in correcting food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Crescent standards.
• Operate and properly clean kitchen equipment including fryers, broilers, stoves, steamers, mixers, slicers, ovens.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

• Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Crescent standards.


• Operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill.


• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.


• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Previous line cook experience is highly desired


• ServeSafe and/or Food Handler certification is highly desired


• Culinary Diploma (preferred)


• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule.
