Antico Posto in Oak Brook, IL is hiring Line Cooks to prepare and present all menu items, following recipes and customer requests. You will work a variety of shifts, including weekends, and operate knives and kitchen tools safely while communicating clearly with the team.

Ideal candidates will multitask under pressure, stand for long periods, and move safely in a busy kitchen. Teamwork and adherence to safety and quality standards are essential to this role.

Qualifications

• Must be able to prepare menu items according to prescribed recipes and requests.
• Available to work various hours, including weekends.
• Safely and effectively use tools and equipment, including knives.
• Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken directions.
• Multitask calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Stand and move throughout the shift; able to move in a crowded kitchen.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Follow all portioning controls and par levels.
• Maintain food safety and quality standards.
• Read a thermometer correctly and efficiently.
• Communicate any delays or issues to the Coordinator.
• Maintain item counts and inform management when quantities fall short.
• Accurately account for all items coming out of the station.
• Understand and follow allergy procedures and special orders/restrictions.
• Comply with safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Follow employment policies including those in the handbook.
• Get along with others and be a team player.
