Bunkhouse in Houston Heights is seeking a Line Cook to join our PM team, bringing creativity to breakfast, lunch and dinner service. Italian-inspired with a Houston spirit, Hypsi serves a robust pasta program and elegant entrées.

The Cook will prepare foods, maintain cleanliness and safety, stock supplies, and collaborate with staff to ensure smooth service and excellent guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years related experience in hospitality or service industry.
• Full availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knife skills or willingness to learn.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of foods according to customers' orders or supervisors' instructions while following approved procedures.
• Prep food items for after-hours distribution.
• Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes and silverware.
• Store food properly to prevent spoilage and ensure freshness.
• Carry food supplies and equipment to and from storage and work areas.
• Inspect food prep and serving areas for sanitary practices.
