Job summary

SSP America is hiring line cooks for Mad Town Gastropub, located inside the Madison Regional Airport. Earn $19.00 per hour with full-time or part-time shifts, plus a free meal each shift and two weeks of PTO. Immediate hiring and strong advancement opportunities available.

Expect responsibilities including following recipes, set-up and stocking, food safety, and quality control. Must be 18+, with one year line cook experience and good English communication.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• One year line cook experience in a restaurant
• Verbal and written communication are essential
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests and take orders
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present items
• Maintain proper setup of the kitchen/station daily
• Requisition and stock all required food, paper products, and condiments
• Handle, store, and rotate all products properly
• Maintain cleaning and breakdown of machinery and equipment
• Manage stock, cutting, and storage of perishables daily
• Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists
• Ensure quality of products served
