Job summary

SSP America is hiring for Line Cooks at Mad Town Gastropub, located inside the Madison Regional Airport. Earn $19.00 per hour with full-time or part-time shifts.

Expect free meal every shift, two weeks PTO, immediate hiring and opportunities for advancement. Responsibilities include following recipes, setting up the kitchen, stocking and rotating products, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food quality.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• One year line cook experience in a restaurant.
• Verbal and written communication is essential.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items.
• Maintain proper and adequate setup of the kitchen/station daily.
• Requisitioning and stocking of all required food, paper products, and condiments.
• Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.
• Responsible for setup, maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of machinery and equipment.
• Maintain stock, cutting, and storage of perishables daily to ensure quality.
• Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required.
• Take responsibility for quality of products served.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards.
• Other duties as assigned
