Job summary
La Bahia Hotel & Spa in Santa Cruz is seeking a Cook III/Prep Cook who combines precision and speed to deliver flawless components for our signature dishes. You will prepare ingredients, maintain clean stations, and support the kitchen team during busy service.
This role requires 2 years in a luxury hotel or resort, ability to work in a fast-paced, hot kitchen, and strong teamwork. You will follow recipes, assist with sauces and stocks, and uphold our service standards while wearing the uniform
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a luxury hotel or resort.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Must work in fast-paced hot kitchen environments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Teamwork and independent work capability.
Responsibilities
- Maintain clean and organized work stations
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Inventory management and rotation
- Prepare ingredients for cooking per established recipes
- Assist with preparing sauces, stocks, and foundational items
- Portion and store food items properly
- Meet quality expectations for all prepared items
- Follow recipes and presentation guidelines
- Assist during service as needed
- Participate in kitchen cleaning and maintenance
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions
- Maintain grooming standards and uniform
