Job summary

Columbia Hospitality is seeking a Line Cook I for Marcus Whitman Hotel to create menu items, manage daily prep, and guide line cooks while maintaining sanitary kitchens and safe food handling. You will be responsible for opening/closing procedures and meeting guest needs promptly.

You will lead small teams for banquets, monitor inventory, and follow recipes and standards. A State Food Handler’s License is required, with a strong focus on quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 5+ years industry experience.
• Able to cook proteins to pre-determined temperatures.
• Direct a banquet up to 100 with a small team.
• State Food Handler’s License.
• Read and present information clearly to staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepares menu items according to recipes and guest specs.
• Cooks proteins to set temperatures and ensures dish quality.
• Leads small culinary teams for banquets and daily prep.
• Maintains proper food handling and storage per regulations.
• Conducts inventory and communicates replenishment needs to Chef team.
• Ensures sanitary and well-maintained kitchen areas and equipment.
• Operates slicers, Robo-Coup, Hobart mixers, and convection ovens.
