Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Line Cook for E11EVEN Club Hotel & Residences in Miami. You will prepare food according to recipes, portion and plate items, and maintain sanitation and HACCP standards. The role reports to the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs and requires strong teamwork and focus on quality.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education required.
• 1–2 years of related experience; Certified Cook level or higher.
• Ability to work under demanding and strenuous conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
• Willingness to work within changing priorities; bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment.
• Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables as required to prepare them for cooking.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes.
• Serve food in proper portions onto dishes, ensuring proper presentation.
• Ensure food storage areas are clean and HACCP guidelines followed.
• Follow hygiene policies to ensure safe food for guests.
• Communicate needs during busy periods to ensure optimum service.
• Notify a manager if a product does not meet specifications.
• Check appliance temperatures and monitor cooling systems.
• Report maintenance issues to management or engineering.
• Maintain knowledge of food safety programs and regulations.
