Job summary

Food Fight is seeking a Line Cook to join our Steenbocks on Orchard kitchen in Madison, WI. You will prepare dishes to the Chef’s specifications, assist with menu items and support the line with efficiency and accuracy.

The ideal candidate has professional kitchen experience, especially on a hot line or grill, a flexible schedule, and a collaborative attitude to thrive in a busy restaurant team.

Qualifications

• Professional kitchen experience, including working a hot line and grill is required.
• Experience in full service restaurant is desired.
• Understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• The Line Cook prepares food to the exact Chef’s specifications.
• The Line cook position is responsible for preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
• The Line Cook assists with menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
