Job summary

Nudy's Cafes is seeking a Line Cook to prepare meals in a fast-paced, family-friendly environment. You will grill, braise, and plate dishes, inform waitstaff when orders are ready, and keep the grill and station clean while monitoring inventory.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, grilling experience, strong food-safety practices, and excellent multitasking and customer-service skills. Weekend/holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook, preferably grilling.
• Ability to stand for long hours.
• Strong knowledge of food safety guidelines.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Weekend/holiday shifts required.

Responsibilities

• Slicing, cutting, shredding, tenderizing, and skewering meat and vegetables.
• Braising and grilling meat and vegetables.
• Checking ingredients for freshness and safety.
• Preventing cross-contamination.
• Preparing meals per customer preferences where applicable.
• Tracking meal components to finish dishes on time.
• Liaising with waitstaff after orders are finalized.
• Keeping workstation clean and orderly at all times.
• Informing the Manager when equipment needs maintenance or replacement.
• Tracking inventory to ensure adequate supplies.
