Job description

Are you passionate about creating exceptional culinary experiences? We're seeking skilled Line Cooks to join our team in a corporate dining cafe at a tech company. Our scratch kitchen offers cuisine inspired by regions from all over the world, providing a dynamic and creative environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare food according to recipes and directions, ensuring consistent quality for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events.
  • Assist with food production by cutting and cleaning a variety of fruits, vegetables, and proteins using knives and cutting machines.
  • Follow food preparation lists and portioning details provided by the Sous Chef.
  • Meet production deadlines while adhering to all recipes and guidelines.
  • Taste all food prepared for the station to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Aid in stocking and setting up kitchen stations.
  • Clean and cut ingredients, cook various foods, and plate prepared dishes based on Sous Chef/Junior Sous Chef direction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized station and prep area.
  • Report any ongoing issues with kitchen equipment or cleanliness to the Sous Chef.
  • Follow proper rotation and storage procedures for goods.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation procedures outlined by OSHA, Department of Public Health, and Risk Management.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Attend all scheduled shifts, training sessions, and meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Must possess and maintain an active Food Handler’s Certificate.
  • Maintain a neat appearance in clean uniforms and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • A fundamental understanding of food handling and sanitation practices is required.
  • Must have and maintain authorization to work in the US.

Physical Demands:

  • Physical Stamina:Standing, walking, and lifting required for job tasks.
  • Visual Acuity:Ability to perceive and adjust to various visual demands.
