Job summary

Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is seeking a Line Cook to join our culinary team and provide residents, staff, and guests with high-quality meals in a dignified dining setting.

We offer a friendly work environment guided by Christian values, along with comprehensive benefits, including medical plans, PTO, and retirement savings. This role is full-time with 75 hours biweekly and eligibility for the CKV welcome bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Two years of related work experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items for villagers, team members, guests and special functions as designated by production sheets.
• Follow sanitation and infection control standards in preparation and handling of leftovers; maintain cleanliness of area.
• Follow standards for sauteing, broiling, and grill work.
• Maintain a clean, organized work and storage area.
• Act as lead of the department in the absence of the Executive Chef or Dining Room Manager.

Your Role as a Line Cook at CKV

As a Line Cook, your scope of responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

• Preparing food items for villagers,team members, guestsand special functions as designated by production sheets using quantity recipes, designated portion control, and instructions by the Executive Chef.
• Following sanitation and infection control standards in preparation, proper handling of leftover items and cleanliness of area.
• Following standards for sauteing, broiling, and grill work.
• Maintaining aclean,organized work and storage area.
• Actingas lead of the department in the absence of Executive Chef, Cook/Supervisor or Dining Room Manager.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Working knowledge of food service preparation as would be required through two years of related work experience preferred.
