Lila’s, an exciting new cocktail bar, is seeking experienced bartenders to join our team. Located inside the Hampton Inn & Suites in the heart of the neighborhood of play, Lila’s offers a full bar and covered outdoor patio, making it a perfect spot to enjoy cocktails and small plates with friends and family. We are looking for candidates with experience as a cook in high-end, high-volume kitchens who are eager to create memorable guest experiences. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Job Title: Line Cook

Reports To: Executive Chef

Summary: Prepare food for the restaurant, in-room dining, and catering by performing various duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform opening and closing procedures according to checklists.
  • Ensure food safety and handling policies are followed, including use-by dates and proper temperatures.
  • Wash, peel, slice, portion, chop, mix, and store ingredients.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Portion and arrange food on serving dishes.
  • Develop feature offerings for each service period.
  • Monitor food quantity and quality to minimize waste.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Be knowledgeable about all menu items and answer questions from staff or guests.
  • Assist in food prep for all kitchen stations.
  • Check kitchen fixtures and equipment for proper operation and report issues.

Ideal candidates should demonstrate punctuality, adaptability, attention to detail, safety awareness, customer service skills, problem-solving abilities, decision-making, teamwork, integrity, confidentiality, and effective communication.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience: 1-3 years of related experience, or an Associate's degree or culinary training, or equivalent combination.

Qualifications: Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily, with accommodations as needed for disabilities.
