Job summary

Delaware North Sportservice is seeking a part-time Cook to join our team at Ford Ice Center in Nashville, Tennessee. You will prepare food to order, maintain kitchen standards, and collaborate with the serving team to deliver great guest experiences.

We offer weekly pay and a flexible schedule, with opportunities for training and development and employee discounts. This role requires prior kitchen experience and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of back-of-the-house food service experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes.
• Basic math skills to calculate and follow recipe measurements.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures, ensuring proper food temperatures are maintained, food is stored correctly, the freshness and quality of all menu items, and packages all products to proper specifications
• Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
• Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet
• Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory

What will you do?

More about you

Physical requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more, reach up to seven feet, bend, and squat

• Manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids and operate kitchen equipment
