Job summary

The Social is seeking a dependable Line Cook to join our kitchen team for approximately 30-36 hours per week. We are a busy neighborhood bar and restaurant with a close-knit, low-turnover team, looking for someone who can keep up in a fast-paced kitchen while being a good teammate.

You’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items consistently, keeping your station clean and stocked, and working alongside the rest of the kitchen and front-of-house staff to keep service running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience preferred.
• ServeSafe or Food Handler's Certification desired.
• Ability to stay calm and thrive under pressure.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Able to stand long hours and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up the kitchen with necessary tools and equipment
• Prepare food and present it in an appealing manner
• Maintain appropriate levels of prepped items and prep as needed
• Follow all food safety regulations
• Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• Communicate with other staff respectfully
