Job summary

Harry's Grille & Tavern in Charlotte, NC seeks a Line Cook to work with Head Chef and team to produce menu items to order. You will ensure quality, speed, and consistency while maintaining a clean, safe prep area.

This role offers flexible shifts, with part-time or full-time options. You will garnish, sauce, and plate dishes, coordinate item completion, and adhere to food safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Teamwork and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years line cook experience or 2-year culinary degree.
• Experience with grill, griddle, fryers, convection ovens and sauté burners.
• Experience working in close quarters with teammates.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and garnish all food orders according to menu specifications.
• Prepare sauces, soups and hot and cold entrees per recipes.
• Present food using proper plate presentation techniques in a timely manner.
• Coordinate completion of menu items to ensure synchronization.
• Set up stations for meal periods based on anticipated volumes.
• Adhere to restaurant and government standards for safe food handling and storage.
• Keep equipment clean and in proper operating conditions.
• Maintain cleanliness in all preparation, cooler and storage areas.
