Job summary

Bay Creek Resort in Cape Charles, VA is seeking a Line Cook to support all culinary outlets on the property. You will assist the Chef and Kitchen Manager with food preparation, sanitation, and delivery, ensuring adherence to all Food Service and Safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of cooking experience, can work weekends/holidays, and demonstrate dependability and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of cooking experience
• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with reliability and direction-following skills

Responsibilities

• Assists with set‑up and preparation of food items for all outlets on the property
• Follows standard recipes and portion control
• Maintains sanitation and safety in kitchen
• Conducts monthly inventory with Chef/Kitchen Manager
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment safely
• Performs cleaning and sanitation of all food prep and storage areas as directed
• Distributes food and supplies across outlets
• Cleans production, holding and serving equipment
• Receives and stores products properly
• Adheres to health regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
