Job summary

Bay Creek Resort in Cape Charles, VA is hiring a Line Cook to support multiple culinary outlets. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of cooking experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with setup, following recipes, inventory tasks, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards in a busy resort kitchen.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum education: High School Diploma.
• Experience in maintaining a safe working condition.
• Understanding safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Must be dependable and able to work in a team.
• Ability to take direction in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for quality of products served.
• Assist Chef/Kitchen Manager with setup and prep for all outlets.
• Follow standard recipes and maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Conduct monthly food/supplies inventory with Chef/Kitchen Manager.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment properly.
• Perform cleanup and sanitation of food prep areas as directed.
• Distribute food and supplies across outlets.
• Assist with receiving and storage of products.
• Comply with Department of Health regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
