Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of kitchen or culinary experience preferred.
• Ability to execute recipes accurately and consistently.
• Basic understanding of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
• Knowledge of common prep terminology such as dice, julienne, and chiffonade.
• Basic knife skills and ability to safely operate kitchen equipment.
• Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required food handler certification.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to perform duties across prep, line, and dish areas when needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Iron Hill recipes, procedures, and quality standards.
• Execute food orders during service using a variety of cooking techniques including grilling, sautéing, frying, baking, and pizza preparation.
• Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and plating of all dishes.
• Maintain awareness of ticket times and work efficiently to support service flow.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and preparing ingredients.
• Organize and set up assigned station prior to service, including stocking ingredients and preparing equipment.
• Ensure all prep items are available and ready for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cook line and work areas throughout the shift.
• Monitor product quality and freshness of ingredients used during service.
• Break down and clean assigned station at the end of each shift.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, ovens, and prep surfaces.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors and ensure workspaces are properly sanitized.
• Follow proper food storage and labeling procedures.
• Support other kitchen stations as needed during busy service periods.
• Assist with prep cook duties when required.
• Help maintain overall kitchen cleanliness and organization.
• Occasionally assist with dishwashing or other kitchen support tasks when needed.
