Job summary

Okoboji Store Bar & Kitchen in Okoboji, Iowa, is seeking a Line Cook to prepare a variety of ingredients with precision, manage multiple tickets, and follow recipes to ensure exceptional taste and quality during busy service. Reporting to the General Manager, you will work in a fast-paced, collaborative team, maintain hygiene standards, and be flexible for days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Starting wage is dependent on skills and experience, with benefits included.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and cooking is a plus but not required.
• Ability to multitask in a busy kitchen and work well with others.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strict adherence to safe and hygienic food-handling practices.
• Prep kitchen tools and equipment and ensure they are functioning.
• Prepare ingredients with precision for day’s volume.
• Follow recipes or adjust based on experience to ensure quality.
• Manage multiple ticket orders and deliver dishes promptly.
• Test for doneness by taste, smell, or piercing.
• Monitor cooking temperatures for ovens, fryers, grills.
• End-of-day kitchen cleanup and hygiene maintenance.
