Job summary

Connections Bar & Grill in Houston, TX is seeking dedicated Line Cooks to prepare fresh menu items, maintain kitchen standards, and support fast-paced line operations.

You will portion, grill, and plate dishes with precision, follow safety protocols, and perform opening/closing duties while ensuring quality.

Training is provided, with opportunities for growth in a collaborative, guest-focused kitchen.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of high-volume kitchen experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ with a valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Safe knife handling and ability to lift and move objects for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation & Cooking: Portion, chop, prep, and cook items to order following specs and safe cooking times.
• Food Safety & Sanitation: Ensure proper handling, labeling, dating, rotation, and station cleanliness.
• Quality Control: Inspect ingredients and finished dishes; report substandard products.
• Teamwork & Kitchen Operations: Assist staff during rush periods, maintain speed of service, and perform opening/closing cleaning tasks.
