Job summary

Mellow Mushroom in Augusta, GA is seeking a line cook to manage daily food preparations for a station and to cook and plate orders in a healthful, attractive manner. Pay rate is based on experience and experience with restaurant kitchens is preferred.

The ideal candidate will set up stations, prepare ingredients, and work with the kitchen team to ensure timely, high-quality dishes while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Experience: Cooking – 1 year (Preferred)
• Restaurant experience – 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
