Job summary

Mellow Mushroom is seeking a line cook to manage daily food preparations for a station or area in the kitchen and to cook and plate orders efficiently, healthfully, and attractively. Pay rate is based on experience and location.

Kitchen team collaborates to deliver high-quality dishes and maintain sanitation standards. Responsibilities include setting up stations, preparing ingredients, cooking with team, and ensuring timely service while maintaining cleanliness and professionalism with guests

Qualifications

• 1 year cooking experience preferred.
• 1 year restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
