Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking a Line Cook to prepare and cook menu items to specification in a fast-paced kitchen. You will receive and order products, label and refrigerate prepared items, and maintain clean, organized stations throughout opening and closing shifts.

The role requires strong knowledge of safety and sanitation standards, the ability to work calmly under pressure, and a high level of organization and teamwork in a guest-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook experience required.
• Standing for long periods and moving about kitchen.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards.
• Calm under pressure with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to specification.
• Receive and order products as needed.
• Label, date, and refrigerate prepped items properly.
• Set up, stock, and break down stations during opening/closing.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and work areas.
• Read order tickets or Kitchen Display System accurately.
• Assist with special prep and large party service.
