Ellis Island Casino in SeaTac, WA is seeking a Line Cook to prepare items per Sous Chef recipes and assist in running a smooth kitchen operation. You will stock, prep, and plate dishes while coordinating with servers to meet guest requests.

Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene, handling temperatures, and daily equipment cleaning. Must have basic knife skills, a Food Handlers Card, and the ability to obtain a Red Badge; 21+ and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Requires basic knife skills.
• Must possess a valid King County Food Handlers Card.
• Ability to obtain a Red Badge to access storage areas.
• Demonstrates the ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation practices.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations.
• Prepare food including prepping, cooking, and dessert items.
• Plate foods according to guidance from the Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager.
• Coordinate with servers to ensure timely order completion.
• Clean and wash kitchen equipment and store properly at shift end.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in kitchen operations.
• Record fridge and line temperatures daily.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and drains.
• Participate in cross-functional prep cooking training.
• Assist with oil fryer cleaning and oil disposal per standards.
• Receive and store incoming food orders as needed.
