Job summary

Hopdoddy Burger Bar in Leander, TX is hiring a Line Cook who will work across Bun, Build, Grill, and Fry stations. You’ll prepare items to Hopdoddy recipe standards, gather ingredients, and maintain temperatures and sanitation in a fast-paced kitchen.

You’ll learn new menu items, follow safety guidelines, and support other stations as needed. The role offers competitive pay, benefits for full-timers, paid time off, and opportunities to grow through our lead manager program.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in food preparation in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Active Food Handler Card required.
• Basic knife skills required.
• Math skills and understanding of basic conversions.
• Must be able to tare and use a digital scale.
• Prefer kitchen line experience.

Responsibilities

• Gathers all needed ingredients prior to preparing products.
• Cooks and assembles menu items to Hopdoddy recipe standards.
• Pays close attention to detail, accommodating special requests and never allowing less-than-perfect food products to leave the kitchen.
• Communicates with leadership the status and availability of product.
• Responsible for constant sanitation, organization, and proper food handling.
• Understands and complies with food safety and temperature standards.
• Follows safety standards.
• Minimizes waste of product.
• Makes precise measurements.
• Packages and stores leftover foods per Hopdoddy standards.
• Rotates product per “First In, First Out” to maintain shelf-life standards.
• Washes dishes and takes out the trash when needed.
• Supports other stations when needed.
• Maintains prep area in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner.
• Follows and completes standards, checklists, and side work.
• Performs other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required from time to time.
