Job summary

The Buttery in Kentucky is seeking a Line Cook to bring its menu to life by preparing, cooking, and portioning dishes with care and consistency in a fast-paced kitchen. You will work closely with the kitchen team to create fresh, high-quality food while maintaining the highest safety and excellence standards.

You will collaborate with peers to ensure smooth service during peak hours, uphold food safety practices, and contribute to a hospitable, high-energy dining environment that guests love.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-volume kitchen.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Passion for hospitality and creating excellent meals.
• Caring, self-motivated, and teamwork-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present menu items following recipes, portions, and standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and proper storage of ingredients.
• Monitor and control inventory, assist with stock rotation and minimizing waste.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe workplace.
• Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries for quality and quantity.
• Support other kitchen staff during peak service hours.
• Communicate issues or concerns to the Sous Chef.
