Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Morgantown, PA is hiring for a kitchen position. You will prepare, arrange, and present menu items, report to the Sous Chef, and work with a team to deliver high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 1–2 years of experience (or equivalent), a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read, write, and speak English. Expect a non-gaming credential for events and a smoking/non-smoking work area as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must have the ability to perform basic math skills.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, expedites, monitors, replenishes, and/or transports meats, vegetables, soups, sauces and other food items as indicated by production sheets.
• Reports to Sous Chef at start of shift to receive instructions as daily specials or menu changes.
• Arranges mise en place according posted instructions and menu requirements.
• Communicates station needs, waste and discrepancies with immediate supervisor.
• As directed by supervisor, prepares and presents menu items according to recipe specification and presentation photos.
• Assists in other areas of kitchen as directed by Sous Chef.
• Interacts with guests and coworkers in a professional, courteous manner.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work area at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
