Job summary

Hawkers Asian Street Food is seeking a Line Cook who will be the foundation of the guest experience. You will follow our standards and recipes, keep a clean and organized station, and coordinate with BOH teammates to deliver high-quality food with speed and consistency.

The role requires urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to stay composed during busy periods. We offer flexible scheduling, meal benefits during shifts, and opportunities for advancement toward lead cook and kitchen

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a full-service or fast-casual kitchen environment.
• Strong ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency under pressure.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have or be willing to obtain a Food Handlers Certification.
• Understanding of OSHA and HACCP compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items to order, following Hawkers’ standard recipes and plating specs within ticket time standards.
• Maintain par stock levels and scale production based on volume.
• Rotate products using FIFO principles to maintain freshness.
• Log and discard products that have reached use-by date per safety protocols.
• Wash, clean, and handle raw food safely; operate fryers; report equipment issues.
