Peachtree Group, in collaboration with Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin, seeks a Line Cook for part-time evening shifts to support kitchen operations in a hotel dining setting. You will assist chefs, set up stations, and ensure quality, safety, and timely service.

The role emphasizes food preparation, kitchen teamwork, and flexible hours, with opportunities for weekend and holiday coverage in a busy downtown Austin environment.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook, prep cook, or professional kitchen experience preferred but training may be provided.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food-safety practices expected.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards consistently.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to assist wherever needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move items typical of kitchen operations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required food-handler or food-safety certification.
• Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock food items and supplies.
• Prepare food by cutting, chopping, mixing, and making sauces.
• Cook items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other methods per recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper food storage; ensure sanitation.
• Clean and sanitize cooking surfaces at shift end.
• Perform inventory checks and complete food storage logs.
