Renaissance Milwaukee West, premium distinctive AAA Four Diamond hotel, is seeking a Cook to join our Culinary Team in Eldr+Rime.

Prepare and cook meal ingredients, dishes, condiments, and other items as directed. Has knowledge and ability to work the full line (all stations). Responsible for advanced prep and cooking and assist in leading daily culinary tasks and ensuring cohesion throughout stations.

• Prepare various ingredients to be used in the creation of menu items.
• Prepare meat and fish and assist in related cooking techniques.

• Assist in duties of Cook I and Cook II, including prepping simple dishes and sauces.
• Prepare bulk food items for future use.
• Prepare food of consistent quality with attention to detail and presentation.
• Assist with unloading, inspecting, and storage of raw ingredients and supplies.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes.
• Handle special requests of guests promptly and professionally.
• Check pars for shift use and report shortages.

Summary:

Prepare and cook meal ingredients, dishes, condiments, and other items as directed. Has knowledge and ability to work the full line (all stations). Responsible for advanced prep and cooking (such as sautéing and grilling). Assist in leading daily culinary tasks and ensuring cohesion throughout stations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare various ingredients to be used in the creation of menu items. Preparation tasks include washing, cutting, peeling, and portioning in support of appetizer, fry, pantry, sauté, and grill stations.
• Prepare meat and fish and assists in related cooking/butchering techniques.
• Assist culinary leadership team in leading and communicating daily tasks and priorities.
• Assist in duties of Cook I and Cook II, as needed, including prep of simple dishes and condiments, dressings, or sauces.
• Prepare bulk food items for future use.
• Prepare food of consistent quality by attending to detail and presentation of each item.
• Assist with unloading, inspecting, and storage or raw ingredients and supplies.
• Maintain compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards.
• Assist in controlling food loss.
• Handle special requests of guests promptly and professionally.
• Check pars for shift use; determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line set up. Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages.
• Report to work on time and in full uniform.
• Other duties as required.

Compensation:

• The starting hourly pay range for this position is $16.00-$19.00, depending on experience.
