Job description

Position Summary:
Cook food to members’ satisfaction as perfectly and quickly as possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Cook food to members’ satisfaction as perfectly and quickly as possible.
• Set up work station to ensure freshness and quality.
• Assist the rest of the line cooks in the restaurant so that all preparations are made on time.
• Break down work station and end of service.
• Ensure restaurant is clean before leaving.
• Communicate with members, coworkers, management, staff, and others in a professional manner.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• Ability to cook and work in a kitchen environment.
• Must be able to multi-task and think quickly.
• Ability to communicate well orally and in writing.
• Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
• Ability to interact professionally & maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions.
• Ability to be flexible and juggle many assignments or projects at the same time.
• Interacting comfortably with all levels of staff in the organization.
• Working efficiently in a stressful environment.
• Ability to work long and unusual hours when necessary.

Education and Experience Required:
High school diploma or GED and some cooking classes plus a minimum of one year of related experience or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. Requires Safe Serve certification. Previous club experience is preferred.
