Summer House - Chicago is hiring Line Cooks to join our kitchen team in a bustling, beach-inspired concept in Chicago, IL. You will prepare, production, and present all menu items, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Essential functions emphasize working varied hours including weekends, safe knife handling, clear communication, and multitasking under pressure in a lively kitchen environment.

Formación

• Prepare menu items according to prescribed recipes and requests.
• Available to work a variety of hours, including weekends.
• Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives.
• Ability to communicate in written and spoken directions.
• Multitask calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Move safely in a busy kitchen with variable noise and temperatures.

Responsabilidades

• Follow all prescribed portioning controls and par levels.
• Maintain food safety and quality standards.
• Read a thermometer correctly and efficiently.
• Communicate any food delays or issues to Coordinator.
• Maintain menu item counts and notify staff when quantities fall below minimums.
• Accurately account for all items coming out of the station.
• Understand and follow allergy procedures and restrictions.
• Comply with safety and sanitation guidelines and employment policies.
• Be a team player and adapt to other duties as needed.
