Summary:

Cigars International is seeking a dedicated individual with a positive demeanor to join our team as a Line Cook. The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in a high-energy environment and uphold Cigars International's standards for guest satisfaction. As the fastest-growing cigar company in the country and a premier online and direct marketer of fine cigars, premium pipe tobaccos, luxury gifts, and accessories, we are excited to welcome an enthusiastic addition to assist our Bar Staff in daily activities.

What can you expect as a Line Cook at Cigars International?

  • Complete all opening prep work efficiently, accurately, and on time for service.
  • Maintain proper inventory and follow storage protocols to minimize waste.
  • Prepare food orders accurately and promptly.
  • Assess the quality of ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas and equipment.
  • Follow sanitation and cleanliness protocols.
  • Interface professionally with management, Front-Of-House, and Back-Of-House staff.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side-work duties as established by management.
  • Act as a trainer or mentor to new hires when requested.
  • Attend scheduled service training classes and staff meetings.
  • Ensure company service standards are met.
  • Adhere to store policies, including dress code, meal policy, attendance, use of property, loss prevention, safety, schedule requests, and conduct.
  • Perform all duties to meet or exceed company expectations.
  • Assist bartenders with stocking, organizing, cleaning, and maintaining the bar.

Your knowledge and expertise (most relevant to this role):

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a bar or restaurant setting preferred.
  • Understanding of kitchen hierarchy and operations.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to read English and understand guest orders.
  • Multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and precise communication with supervisors and co-workers.
