Summary:

Cigars International is seeking a dedicated individual with a positive attitude to join as a Line Cook. The ideal candidate will bring experience in a high-energy environment, uphold our standards for guest satisfaction, and contribute to the operations of the largest cigar bars in the nation. As a leading online and direct marketer of fine cigars, pipe tobaccos, luxury gifts, and accessories, we are excited to welcome an enthusiastic team member to support our Bar Staff in daily activities.

What to Expect as a Line Cook:
  1. Complete opening prep work efficiently, accurately, and on time
  2. Maintain inventory and proper storage to minimize waste
  3. Prepare food orders accurately and promptly
  4. Assess ingredient quality
  5. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment
  6. Follow sanitation and cleanliness protocols
  7. Communicate professionally with management and staff
  8. Perform opening, closing, and side-work duties as assigned
  9. Assist in training or mentoring new hires when needed
  10. Attend training sessions and staff meetings as scheduled
  11. Ensure company service standards are met
  12. Adhere to store policies including dress code, attendance, safety, and conduct
  13. Perform all duties to meet or exceed expectations
  14. Assist bartenders with stocking, cleaning, and maintaining the bar
Desired Knowledge and Skills:
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a bar or restaurant setting
  • Understanding of kitchen hierarchy and operations
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately
  • Proficiency in reading English and understanding guest orders
