Job summary

River Oaks Country Club in Houston, TX is seeking a professional Line Cook to join a culinary team led by the Executive Chef. Train under the Sous Chef team across Banquets and A la Carte dining, contributing to multiple clubs of operations and ensuring quality and consistency in each service.

The role offers full-time, hourly positions at $18.50/hour with excellent benefits, free employee meals, and a central location. Applicants should be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Clear verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to multi-task across multiple stations.
• Team-oriented with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn club recipes and SOPs.
• Familiarity with kitchen software such as FoodTrak is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and ensure freshness of menu items for Banquet and A la Carte services.
• Set up and maintain kitchens and workstations per standards.
• Assist in inventory, requisitions, and station cleanliness.
• Follow recipes, portions, and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain food safety and sanitary practices throughout service.
