Job summary

The Old Savannah Distillery, part of Historic Tours of America, is seeking a Line Cook in Savannah to help season and cook dishes to the standards of the OSD and Kitchen Manager, while maintaining cleanliness and food safety.

Responsibilities include measuring ingredients, tasting for doneness, receiving and ordering products, and preparing prep recipes to spec, contributing to a smooth service and memorable Savannah experience.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A food handling certification program is required to be completed before working in the kitchen.

Position Purpose

The Line Cook prepares and cooks food, maintains cleanliness, and ensures compliance with food safety regulations. Even though you may not contact guests directly, your responsibilities are critical to the Restaurant’s success. At the Old Savannah Distillery (OSD), you will prepare, season, and cook dishes to the standards of the OSD and Kitchen Manager.

  • Comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas.
  • Demonstrate a high level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A food handling certification program is required to be completed before working in the kitchen.

  • Must pass pre-employment background check and substance abuse testing.
