Job summary

Savannah Riverboat Cruises is seeking a Prep Cook to join a fast-paced kitchen on the Savannah waterfront. You’ll prep, stock, cook, and plate meals, while delivering southern hospitality to guests and teammates.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of cooking experience, comfort with batch or buffet cooking, and the flexibility to work busy shifts, including holidays. Join the team creating memorable experiences on the water.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months cooking experience (line or prep).
• Experience in batch and buffet cooking is a plus.
• Team player with strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Able to work in warm environments and stand 5+ hours.
• Available to work major holidays.

What we’re looking for:

• At least 6 months year of cooking experience (line or prep)

• Able to handle the heat (literally) and stay on your feet
• Reliable and ready to work busy shifts, including holidays

Qualifications

• At least one (1) year previous kitchen/BOH experience (preferred)
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• The nature of the work may be strenuous, and the work environment may be warm, ability to work in warmer climates and stand for 5+ hours
• Required to lift and move heavy items like cases and large containers
• Will be required to be available to work on some major holidays
