Job Responsibilities
- Reports to work as scheduled, on time, and ready to work. Maintains and wears all uniforms properly, including nametag. Must wear a gaming license if in possession of one.
- Ability to efficiently and consistently prepare all menu items and specials with great attention to quality, presentation, and taste. Includes capability to prepare large orders while preserving the quality of each plate and ensuring the overall order is served in a timely manner.
- Prepares food items according to ticket specifications and accounts for any allergens.
- Effectively adjusts preparation to provide the best overall dining experience for all customers.
- Maintains a clean and well‑organized kitchen at all times, performing routine cleaning duties, stocking, sweeping, and mopping floors, and ensuring all cleaning is thorough and complete at the end of each shift.
- Develops, maintains, and enhances positive relations and a positive image with all guests and employees.
- Receives ongoing training, technical direction, and guidance from the Lead Cook, Sous Chef, Executive Chef, Floor Supervisor, and Restaurant Manager.
- Performs all duties in compliance with all safety standards, health standards, internal policies and procedures, and the Colorado Limited Gaming Act.
- Maintains alertness for performance of all responsibilities and general awareness of restaurant operations; keeps supervisor informed of any concerns regarding quality, selection, or variety of all food.
- Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
Qualifications
Demonstrated cooking experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment.
Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
Education and/or Experience
Two (2) or more years of recent and related cooking experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Food Handler’s License or equivalent.
Other Skills / Abilities
Preferred demonstrated ability to cook and prepare a wide variety of dishes.
Physical Demands
Essential duties involve physical exertion such as frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, crouching, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, and standing for an entire shift with standard breaks. Lifting up to 50 pounds to stack, store, or move kitchen or restaurant supplies and equipment. Flexible work week with additional hours routinely required.
Compensation and Benefits
$21.00+ per hour, based on experience.
