Job Description

Omni PGA Frisco Resort is seeking an experienced and creative Line Cook 3 AM | Trick Rider to join our team. The resort will feature 127,000 sq ft of event space, 13 new food and beverage outlets, a luxurious spa, and a vibrant entertainment district. Our two championship 18-hole golf courses and a short course will provide excellent options for dining, events, and entertainment for guests and the local community.

The Line Cook 3 is responsible for preparing all food items efficiently, following menu specifications, and communicating effectively with kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare all food items as directed by supervisor, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  2. Maintain good knowledge of culinary fundamentals and techniques.
  3. Work on hot/cold line stations, executing menu items within specified timelines.
  4. Organize prep sheets and station guides, managing own timeline for service readiness.
  5. Properly and safely use all culinary equipment.
  6. Present plates according to specifications.
  7. Communicate effectively with team members.
  8. Maintain professionalism and positivity in stressful situations.
  9. Attend departmental meetings and training sessions.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  11. Work effectively on a restaurant line.
  12. Demonstrate basic knife skills and vegetable cuts.

Qualifications

  1. At least 2 years of culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
  2. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  3. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  4. Basic mathematical skills for weights and measures.
  5. Ability to follow recipes accurately.
  6. Food Handler’s certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  8. Culinary degree or formal training preferred.
  9. Physical ability to lift, push, pull, carry moderate weights, and stand for extended periods.
  10. Proficiency with culinary tools and sensory skills (taste and smell).
