Get to Know This Role

The Line Cook III collaborates with all kitchen staff to prepare, cook, and serve food for onsite guests, delivery, and to-go orders. They follow recipes, plating guides, and SOPs to ensure food quality and safety. Additionally, they assist in training and mentoring Line Cooks I and II, utilize their advanced kitchen knowledge to improve systems, sustainability efforts, and staff skills.

What You Will Do
  1. Prepare all foods according to standardized recipes and SOPs.
  2. Assist with opening and closing procedures, evaluate processes for improvements.
  3. Maintain proper food quantities and communicate adjustments.
  4. Ensure equipment and work areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
  5. Organize and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
  6. Participate in ongoing training and updates.
  7. Receive and organize shipments following FIFO and safety standards.
  8. Assist in training other cooks.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned.
  10. Follow all relevant health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen as a line cook.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to handle kitchen pressures and coordinate multiple activities.
  • Advanced knowledge of food prep, sanitation, and kitchen operations.
  • Effective team collaboration and mentorship skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in recipe management, conversions, and measurements.
  • Understanding of BOH systems and prep calls.
  • Ability to adapt recipes and contribute to menu development.
  • Advanced knife skills and basic butchery preferred.
  • Experience training staff.
  • Ability to respond to guest traffic fluctuations and communicate effectively.
  • Strong work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Completion of required trainings.
  • CA Food Handler's Card within 30 days of hire.
Additional Requirements
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Pass a pre-employment background check.
