Job description

Legendary dining establishment 108 Taphouse & Burger Bar is seeking an experienced Line Cook. The Line Cook is responsible for setting up and stocking food items and other necessary supplies. The Line Cook prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces. Key cooking responsibilities include grilling, drying, sauteing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure that food comes out simultaneously. Food must be of high quality and served in a timely fashion.




Duties and responsibilities include:



  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment

  • Check quality of ingredients

  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)

  • Cook food in various utensils or grillers

  • Ensure food is fully cooked before plating and serving to guests

  • Create a great culinary presentation by dressing dishes before they are served

  • Maintain a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen

  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly

  • Perform inventory checks, complete food storage logs, and communicate any shortages to supervisor
