We're looking for a skilled Line Cook who’s passionate about food, works well under pressure, and takes pride in quality and consistency. Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Cooks are responsible for preparing a variety of food products, including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, and stocks, according to the club’s standard recipes using a variety of equipment and utensils according to the daily prep list.

Job Tasks/Duties

  1. Take inventory of all items required for the station set-up and determine those items that require preparation.
  2. Prepare items according to standard recipes.
  3. Coordinate and time orders with other kitchen operations.
  4. Requisition items needed to produce menu items.
  5. Notify Sous Chef of expected shortages.
  6. Ensure that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary.
  7. Set up, maintain, and break down the prep cook station.
  8. Cover, date, and neatly store all leftover products that are re-usable.
  9. Make recommendations for maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the line prep area and equipment.
  10. Close the kitchen properly using the closing checklist.
  11. Attend kitchen staff meetings and offer suggestions for improvements.
  12. Assist with other duties as assigned by Sous Chef.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  1. Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, and twist or reach.
  2. Push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
  3. Continuous repetitive motions.
  4. Work in hot, humid, and noisy environments.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  1. High School diploma or GED.
  2. A minimum of two years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
